Media Philosophy

When it comes to social media, I have been well trained from Western, the Seattle Opera, and Wilde World Communication.

I make sure the voice in your social media aligns with your organizations goals, values, and mission.

When it comes to helping you with your social media I try too:

  • Create engaging content

  • Inspire positive conversations

  • Publish only the highest quality images and videos

I have experience creating organic engagement for a variety of clients across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, and other medias.

HIGHLIGHT

In the summer of 2019, I had the pleasure of supporting Bellingham TheatreWorks in launching their newest program Fairhaven Summer Repertory Theatre as their Development Director, which included fundraising and social media management.

I created Fairhaven Summer Repertory Theatre's Facebook Page, Kickstarter, and ran them both by myself. I created Bellingham TheatreWorks' Instagram page, created branding guidelines, and organized the execution of it.

I was responsible for creating all print and graphic materials, writing all the copy, and answering any questions from potential customers, audience members, and volunteers.

Since October 2019 I have also been supporting SUGAR: A Cabaret as their Social Media and Outreach Coordinator. This has included making videos, photos, and graphic content.

TYPES OF CLIENTS

Here is a glimpse of clients I have worked alongside:

As well as lawyers like Sean McKee: Criminal Defense Attorney, musicians like BabyCakes and Deadly D, and theater companies like Western Summer Theatre.

I assist the organizations by running their social media accounts, drafting email blasts that go to customers and clients, and help maintain a strong brand voice across all written materials.

As a team, I also run the Wilde World Communications social media accounts.

WEBSITE DESIGNER

I have designed the following websites from scratch and help maintain, update, and revise several others. As time goes on, things change. Some of the websites are "cached views" from when I worked on them.

I also made this website you're currently on! Some of these websites had specific ideas, others only had menu navigation titles and the rest was up to me. I have worked on websites that use SquareSpace, WordPress, and Wix.

UNIVERSITY CLIENTS

While going to Western Washington University we completed several projects that asked us to create custom content for clubs and local businesses. I worked with NeRDs Club and Kulshan Crossfit. Below is a tiny sample of media content we made as well as the campaign booklet we created for Kulshan CrossFit's "Be Kulshan" campaign.

To the left is the PDF file of the complete campaign booklet my team and I presented to the CrossFit gym. It contains:

  • Convenience Survey
  • Research papers
  • Events
  • Timeline
  • Media Plan
  • Posters and More

Additional Goodies

One of my favorite parts about media is the imagery! I spend hours crafting made up posts for Facebook, story-boarding videos, and creating posters.

Wait a Second...

Are you asking yourself,

"Wait, Lauren? Where are your ACTUAL social media accounts?"

Thank you for asking! Let me explain:

For me personally, I have a strong belief in a healthy WORK | LIFE balance

I guarantee I am more than capable of using Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Snapchat, LinkedIn and all the other amazing platforms created to share our collective experience. As a professional, I take time to unplug from media by not actively maintaining and using my own. For me this allows for more creativity, a healthier flow of mindfulness and allows me to be more present with those around me.

Thank you for understanding and for learning a little about me!
